January 2011 Recipients


REMC Multi-County Community Trust, Inc. (Operation Roundup) recently awarded $4742.50 to J.U.G.A (Bellmore) Volunteer Fire Department. Monies will be used to purchase two portable 800 mhz radios and two multi unit chargers, which will allow them to charge spare batteries on scene . Accepting the award is Mike Mahan, Jason Games (Fire Chief) and Jake Arney.


REMC Multi-County Community Trust, Inc. (Operation Roundup) recently awarded $1200.00 to the Putnam County Public Library. Funds will be used to mail books to children under the age of 5 who are enrolled in the Imagination Library program. Accepting the award is Alice Greenburg, Director.


REMC Multi-County Community Trust, Inc. (Operation Roundup) recently awarded $500.00 to Parke Vermillion CPC, Inc. to help fund counseling to expectant mothers and fathers along with providing baby supplies. Accepting the award is Annie Hendrix, Treasurer.

September 2011 Recipients

$2000.00 to the Covered Bridge Art Gallery to help with the installation of new wiring on the second floor
Accepting the award is Linda Stalker.


$1961.00 to Hixon Cemetery Association for installation of a Veteran’s Memorial Flag Display
Accepting the award is Mike Lewman.

$1200.00 to Montgomery County Youth Services to help toward the purchase of two new staff computers and necessary software upgrades
Accepting the award is Jane Christophersen.

June 2011 Recipients

Individual grants awarded – 2 house fires - $1,000 each

YMCA of Clay County received $5,000.

Samantha Gregg and Mark Spelbring accepting $3,000 check for Parke County 4-H Council, Inc. Funds will go toward the employment of a Summer intern.

Billie Kay and Major Charles Kennedy accepting $2,000 check for The Salvation Army to assist in providing emergency assistance to Parke County residents.


Colton and Cathy Harkrider accepting $5,000 check for Turkey Run Booster Club to go toward the replacement of the floor in concession building at fairgrounds and maintenance to Covered Bridge Shack.



Pat Tryon accepting $3,159.58 check for Parke Vermillion County Humane Society. Funds will go toward the purchase of replacement windows.                                                                                                                                                                                                       

March 2011 Recipients

Parke County 4-H Goat Club accepts $2,000.00 to help fund new goat/sheep barn.

Lyford Twp. Volunteer Fire Department accepts $4,816.00 to help purchase wireless headsets.

Montezuma Baseball Leaque accepts $5,084.22 to help purchase dugouts and awnings.

Rockville Beechwood Park accepts $2,500.00 to help with resurfacing under Chatauqua building.

Tzouanakis Intermediate School of Greencastle accepts $1,000.00 to help purchase new playground equipment.
